Clinical Nurse (Cardiac Ward) Surgical Service Group, Townsville University Hospital In this role you will provide leadership, direct nursing care utilising expert clinical skills, and the provision of education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff to ensure the provision of best practice and quality care. Cardiac care is provided by a coordinated, multidisciplinary model of care which involves the patient, significant other/s, medical, nursing, allied health and community partnerships and facilitates a holistic service for the patient across the care continuum. Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $115,848 p.a. comprising salary range of $94,545 - $101,237 p.a. (full-time) or $47.68 - $51.05 p.h. Requirements * Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position. * Highly Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the position or working towards a relevant qualification. * Highly Desirable: Extensive experience in Cardiac Nursing and a current Adult Life Support certificate. * Adult Life Support Certificate: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per Townsville Hospital and Health Service policy Life Support Training and Assessment -THSDCLI040151v6 (http://qheps.health.qld.gov.au/tville/policies/thsdcli/thsdcli040151.pdf) For additional information regarding the responsibilities and/or other requirements for this position please refer to the role description.
