Clinical Nurse (Anaesthetics) Townsville University Hospital The purpose of this role is to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients, anaesthetists and nursing staff within the 14 Operating Theatre complex and to our outlie areas of mental health, MRI, CT, Cath lab, Medical Imaging and Brachytherapy. ensuring the provision of best practice and quality patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: * Knowledge and understanding on the safe storage and handling of medications. * Experience to perform the role of an anaesthetic nurse. * Ability and skills to perform the roles of an Anaesthetic Nurse in accordance with Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards. * Experience or an ability to acquire the skills of our electronice perioperative record keeping system and anaesthetic record keeping system. * Ability to priorities work commitments and work autonomously in a rapidly changing work environment. * Excellent consultative, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
