THE ROLE AND YOU:-
Located in the foothills of the Adelaide Mount Lofty Ranges the City of Tea Tree Gully is fortunate to have an abundance of natural landscapes a vast network of creeks with approximately 678kms of tree lined streets and in excess of 400 reserves. With this comes a great responsibility and opportunity for the right person.
The position provides a diverse range of tasks and challenges associated with Arboriculture and is tailor made for a person passionate about trees and the environment. We are looking for applicants with a desire to continue to learn and develop; focussing on customer service, education, best practice and continuous improvement whilst having a balanced approach to the management of trees within the urban environment.
Responsible for leading a small team the right person will be able to demonstrate their ability to develop and implement a strategic approach to the management of Council Arboriculture assets, providing specialist advice and leadership in both verbal and written communication on all Arboriculture matters with a strong knowledge base of South Australia's Regulated and Significant Tree Regulations.
A demonstrated ability to write high quality reports will enable the provision of specialist advice to Council's Planning Department, other Government bodies and outside service providers. This ability will also assist you to work collaboratively with other Council departments, achieving successful project outcomes for our community.
