As a result of a recent internal change and significant project pipeline, AECOM’s Resources, Power and Industrial Business has an opportunity for an experienced Bulk Fuel Engineering Leader to provide technical, design management, commercial and resourcing leadership of a consulting engineering team in the areas of Defence, maritime, aviation and large vehicle refuelling and bulk fuel storage of liquid hydrocarbon fuels. This role will also see you manage the provision of fuel systems engineering including, Fuel pipes, pumps and tanks; Associated stress analysis and transient analysis; SCADA and controls systems; Environmental analysis and compliance; Hazardous areas and dangerous goods analysis.
The Bulk Fuel Engineering Lead will provide engineering oversight to the wider team delivering advisory services for our valued clients through technical assessments, feasibility studies, Detailed Design, Business Cases Development, Project Management and Cost Planning. You will be hands on in the development of engineering design documentation and construction phase technical support for new-build, upgrading and refurbishment of bulk fuel infrastructure.
Working as part of a dynamic, consulting environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects within the Defence and Industrial field. Our team of industry experts and network of technical specialists will support the development of your technical and project management capabilities, giving you the opportunity to support project delivery to a broad range of clients and industry sectors. The role will also provide an opportunity to mentor junior AECOM team members throughout ANZ and to help build on the existing capability in the fuel and defence sectors within the business.
Experience in developing engineering designs within defence and hazardous areas
Code and policy compliance including AS 1940, AS 4897, AS 4041 and the Defence Fuel Infrastructure Design Practices Manual;
Working knowledge of AS 2885 series and API 650
A minimum of 15 years+ experience in the field described above;
Experience managing engineering/consulting projects;
Heavy Industry experience / Mining Industry – Essential; and
RPEQ – Essential.
