About the Role
The Bluestar team at Jewish Care Victoria require the expertise of 15 new Domestic Support Workers.
We are seeking friendly and happy people that can not only do a great clean but can brighten the day of elders in the community.
Most of our clients live in the areas of Caulfield, St Kilda, Carnegie, Bentleigh, Glen Huntley, Malvern, Kew, Moorabbin and surrounding suburbs. Some clients live in Outer Melbourne suburbs. Ideally rosters will be set to provide you with work closer to home, however, employees that are flexible will be able to encounter more hours of work.
You will need to have your own reliable transport, typically most hours of work will be 20 hours and rewarding pay rates apply!
Clients will provide safe cleaning products and cleaning equipment. Jewish Care will supply your personal protective equipment such as disposable aprons and gloves.
Your role will entail duties such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping down tables, benches, showers, baths, stove tops, fridges and cupboards.
Most importantly we are seeking kind, friendly and reliable staff. People that care about people!
Skills and Experience
- Domestic cleaning experience
- A satisfactory police check to be maintained at all times
- An understanding of the need for privacy and confidentiality
- An ability to work efficiently, independently and without direct supervision
