Job Summary

Our Adelaide team are looking for a BIM Manager to integrate and deliver multidisciplinary project services to a variety of clients in Defence, Healthcare, Leisure & Fitness, Civil Infrastructure, Mining, Renewables and Commercial/Residential high-rise projects.

The Building Information Modelling (BIM) Manager is responsible for the management of all BIM related data requirements for projects throughout the design and construction phases. You will manage internal teams of BIM technicians and designers to produce drawing products and models to achieve our client’s goals while achieving AECOM’s project directives including key performance and financial indicators.

The BIM Manager will be responsible for reporting to the Design Manager and working closely with Project Controls to ensure the management systems of projects are efficiently integrated.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful BIM Manager in our Adelaide office you will be hold, or be capable, of some or all of the following attributes, responsibilities and requirements;

  • Technical qualifications from an approved TAFE or education institution; or Relevant building related Degree.

  • Proven background and exposure to BIM modelling and Digital Engineering on Civil Engineering or Construction projects

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to create reports and VR presentations to effectively communicate with clients.

  • Ability to develop and comply with the Digital Engineering Management methodology and update the Digital Engineering Execution Plan;

  • Assist in the development of data flow processes at each stage of the design;

  • Develop online dashboards to enable the communication of design progression to clients and the design team;

Create, manage and update federated design models;

  • Facilitate the use of federated design models to coordinate clash detection and resolution activities and provide clash detection reports when required;

  • Ensure BIM is used to test design requirements for functionality;

  • Coordinate BIM file exchange and manage the submission for documentation submissions;

  • Chair workshops and briefings with all relevant project BIM stakeholders.

  • Ensure BIM derived 2D documentation conforms to AS Technical Drawing and is suitable for construction purposes;

  • Assist with multidiscipline Revit documentation when required; and

  • Understanding of construction planning and development processes including planning, design and construction activities;

  • Working knowledge of CAD and drawing related packages including Revit, Solibri, Navisworks or similar related systems;

  • A proven ability to meet project commitments on-time and on-budget, while integrating with multidisciplinary teams and leading project outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Structural, Architectural Engineering or similar;

  • 5 years + relevant professional experience, ideal;

  • 5 years + Revit experience, ideal.
