Full job description

Your new company
This well-known State Government Organisation and one of Australia’s largest Public Transport is currently seeking an Assets Lead to lead a team of internal and external advisory resources and providing technical advice to support the achievement of project objectives and required deliverable. This is an initial 9-month contract position with the likelihood to extend.

Your new role
As an Assets Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing the existing franchise infrastructure and projects delivery arrangements.
  • Identifying and resolving infrastructure and projects related issues as they arise.
  • Developing a high-level framework for the M&R regime and Projects regime for the future model.
  • Leading the preparation of reports, presentations and other project related documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have a qualification in engineering with a technical rail background and be familiar with the key rail assets classes of infrastructure, operational control and management systems and rolling stock. You will also have extensive experience providing infrastructure management, planning analysis and advice on large passenger rail services contracting projects.
