To interpret orders, prepare quotes, invoice sales, place orders, manage backorders, follow up customer needs and generally assisting the business as required. With a majority of sales being placed via the phone or sales counter, it is expected you will have excellent people skills that are controlled and patient whilst assisting and servicing the customer's demands.
The position is subject to a three month probationary period before being appointed a permanent employee. Within the initial three months, the basics of the role should be under control; a good grasp of the broad business offering, strong ownership of the role, competence across the business administration and relationships should be demonstrated. The incumbent must uphold the core values of Power Brakes and be a dedicated team member.
Knowledge of spare parts interpreting - essential.
Experience in the automotive industry - preferred.
Computer literate with a high level of accuracy - essential.
Duties include - Parts interpretation and the effective management of the sales process. Process orders/sales received by phone and across sales counters. Prepare quotes. Invoice sales. Assist in the manufacturing of brake pipes, hoses and other manual tasks when required.
The successfull applicant should have excellent customer service skills, with a good phone manner, and ability to work well within a team. Have good organizational skills, be able to solve problems, make decisions and remain calm under pressure. Have a strong work ethic upholding honesty and integrity and have good personal presentation.
