Tennis Australia is made up of the following business units.
Our Business Services unit includes IT, Human Resources, Legal, Finance and Business Operations. The aim of this unit is to manage key financial, legal, IT and operational accountabilities to ensure world-class performance, HR services and purchasing while remaining innovative and protecting the organisation’s interests and quality enhancement.
Our Commercial teams include Business Development, Media Rights, Broadcast, Marketing Partnerships, Hospitality, Ticketing and AO Membership. Commercial’s sole focus is the continued growth of these core revenue streams to provide funds that are re-invested into the expansion of tennis in Australia.
Our Media team includes Public Relations, Digital, Marketing, Production and Publications including Australian Tennis Magazine. The aim of the Media unit is to generate positive interest in the sport of tennis, which is done by promoting and marketing tennis events and our programs via a wide array of mediums with a view to engaging more devoted fans more often.
The Events and Facilities unit focuses on the key areas of Site, Events (Australia Open Series), Places to Play, Tennis World, Event Operations and Tournaments. The key aim is to provide world-class series, events and facilities to attract top talent from around the world, while providing guests, players and employees with a smashing experience.
The Performance unit comprises the following teams: Developmental Tennis, Professional Tennis and High Performance. The Performance business unit is committed to delivering Athlete Development programs and initiatives and, of course, creating champions.
The Participation team is responsible for motivating more people to hit up the court more often. This is achieved by engaging communities, coaches, clubs and schools to deliver the sport through a number of programs including, Tennis Hot Shots, Social Play, Project Talent, Cardio Tennis, Coach Development and Education, and Inclusion.
