Enhancing the health and safety of our team

Posted 23 Nov 2016

We are committed to the health and safety of all team members through the provision of a safe working environment, safe methods of work, and the provision of training to ensure team members have the skills and capability to perform their tasks safely.

The business recorded a significant reduction in its total recordable injury frequency rate from 37.6 last year, to 31.6 this year (a 16 per cent decrease), as well as a reduction in the lost time injury frequency rate from 9.1 last year, to 7.0 this year (a 23 per cent decrease). A key reason for the improvement was the increased focus on team member behaviours driven through a continued focus on manual handling and moving safely techniques and a new business safety coaching program.
