What you'll be doing

To provide an efficient, effective and safe cleaning service in accordance with Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District policies and procedures as well as local Equipment Service protocols and standards.

The position will provide a cleaning and basic maintenance service for both the equipment loan pool items as well as the general department.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Minimum of twelve months previous cleaning experience in a commercial cleaning or healthcare environment.
Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work confidently and courteously with people at all levels, including direct customer service delivery.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Demonstrated knowledge of hazard identification and controls, manual handling principles and safe work procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of infection control and manual handling principles and practices.
Excellent time management skills in an environment of competing needs.
Ability to fulfil the physical demands of the position.
Demonstrated ability to problem sole and prioritise effectively.
