My client one of the leading non-profit aged care providers in the wollongong region is seeking an experienced director of nursing to join their friendly team.

The role is located in the wollongong region with fantastic amenities close by.

Who we are looking for:

A caring and passionate nurse with a strong commitment to the care of our residents. We are also looking for someone who can take charge and lead by example.

Essentials for the role:

2 years in an aged care management role
Current Nurse Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Working knowledge of commonly used systems in aged care such as Icare.
Understanding of Quality systems and their importance.
Computer literacy
Strong communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and other members of the team.
Time management skills
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and provide a positive direction.
Experience of budgets and financials

What we would love you to have...

Postgraduate studies in dementia or related areas.
5 years + in aged care
Experience of multiple accreditations
