Seer Security is seeking an experienced security researcher to join our awesome team and support us building a bespoke development capability.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has previous security research experience (10 years+) under their belt, is keen to be part of a small team and be flexible in their approach to work. The right candidate will be someone that enjoys technical challenges and has fun while working on them. You will be part of a small team, so good communication skills will be key, as well as being able to play nice with others. At times, you will need to be a jack-of-all-trades, as we have a breadth of challenges that are quite often solved around an oversized whiteboard.

About the Role

Beyond the standard expectations of being a positive member contributing to a small team with good (written and verbal) communication skills, this role has the following responsibilities:

Key responsibilities

Conduct security research
Create client and team documentation
Assist with tactical programming to meet client requirements
Where relevant, support the provision of security consultancy services to clients
Assist in creating Employer collateral to assist with all processes (sales through to delivery)
Track work in issue tracker (Jira)

Required skills:

Reverse engineering (e.g. IDA Pro, Ghidra, WinDbg, JEB, gdb, objdump)
Familiarity with low-level architectures (e.g. x86-64, ARM (aarch64))
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash/Python/Ruby
An understanding of web browser exploitation
Exploit development skills (framework agnostic)

Useful skills and knowledge that will be beneficial (but not compulsory) include:

Computer network operations experience (e.g. CTFs, red/blue teams, penetration testing)
Proficiency in C/C++/.NET/Python/Java/Rust
Experience with Git
Cryptographic experience
