Where you'll be working

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing

This position ensures the provision of a high standard of support services in a timely, and resource efficient manner to meet the needs of the Allied Health Professoriate Unit, WSLHD.

The role assumes responsibility for specific tasks and activities within WSLHD and external engagement as required, in relation to supporting Allied Health research, as directed by the Professor of Allied Health.

Selection Criteria:

Comprehensive administrative and secretarial support skills, including ability to support finance and related processes.
Understanding of key support processes to facilitate research in a health sector; preferably with an understanding of allied health.
Proven excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment.
Demonstrated capacity to self-manage and perform within a multi-disciplinary team in a research active environment.
Highly developed skills in prioritisation, organisation and time management.
Highly developed computer literacy skills, including database management (e.g. using Excel), word processing, and familiarity with software to support communication of activities / reports.
