ABOUT THE ROLE

The Ballina Junktion Reclaim & Salvage Shop at the Ballina Waste Facility is operated in partnership with the Ballina Shire Council. The shop is stocked with a wide variety and eclectic mix of reclaimed and pre-loved goods. In this position you’ll mange the collection, presentation and retailing of salvaged goods from the Transfer Station to run as a profitable retail operation. You’ll provide ‘hands on” supervision and support to Momentum Collective ADE supported employees working side by side with them to ensure compliance with program guidelines.

Desired Skills and Experience

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our ideal candidate has a background in retail and/or recycled goods. You’ll have experience working in the not for profit sector in a management role and have some knowledge of the ADE program. You’ll be a great communicator and be able to lead and motivate a team to meet program and retail KPI's.

Criteria:

Tertiary qualification in a social science or related field and/or specialised skills sufficient to perform at this level.
Current First Aid and CPR
Current Driver’s Licence
Demonstrated relevant experience working within a community service environment or social enterprise.
Experience in delivering and leading trauma informed services.
Experience leading a team.
Significant experience working with complex clients.
Retail and /or second hand retail experience desirable
Knowledge of the Supports available for employment through the NDIS
