About the Role

The role of Unaccredited Registrar is to work alongside Accredited Trainees in both OMFS and ENT, under the direction of their Supervising Consultants and Departmental Heads of Unit. Western Health is a multi-campus organisation, with facilities in Footscray, Sunshine and Williamstown. In addition, the Unaccredited Registrar will have sessional commitments at the Royal Dental Hospital in Carlton.

The Unaccredited Registrar will play a central role in all areas of patient care: outpatient clinics, ward management, operating theatre, and in the provision of dentoalveolar surgery under local anaesthetic.

This role is not a junior position. The successful candidate will be held to the standards of an Accredited Registrar. It is an expectation that the successful applicant will go on to apply for accredited training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or ENT surgery.

Clinical skills and strong references from prior experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery will be regarded favourably. The successful applicant must have both medical and dental registration in Australia.
