About This Opportunity

Our Employee Services Officers are accountable for the efficient and effective management and coordination of all HR transactional processing undertaken by the Employee Services Unit to meet the operational and service delivery needs of the client portfolio. As the most experienced and designated ‘super user’ of the HRIS system in their Employee Services Unit, the Employee Services Officer is responsible for approving the delivery of HR transactions processed by Employee Services Assistants. This includes providing guidance to troubleshoot any complex transactions or issues emerging during the processing of a host of HR related activities.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

Applicants should possess degree qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field with extensive knowledge and ‘super user’ experience working with enterprise HRIS systems. The ability to supervise a team of professionals, including the allocation of work, structured problem solving approaches, and good judgement to analyse, manage, and resolve a diverse range of HR operational issues is critical for success in this role.

What We Can Offer

This is a part time (0.8 FTE), fixed term position (exp. 31 December 2020) at HEW level 5.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $69,408 - $77,306 per annum plus 9.5% employer superannuation contributions. The total FTE package will be in the range $76,001 - $84,650.
