As a public school principal in the Northern Territory, you will need to be a highly skilled communicator, with excellent leadership, administrative and management skills as well as being the kind of person who can face challenges with optimism and creativity to ensure that resources are being used to their fullest potential. There is also a requirement to adopt a leadership role within the public school system, acting in the interests of the whole system and the wider community.

Amanbidji School

Amanbidji is located approximately 450km west south-west from Katherine and 142km west of Kununurra (Western Australia). Amanbidji School is a category 3 remote school located on the cattle station Kildurk with Timber Creek to the east and the Judbarra National Park on its door step. Amanbidji is the home of the Ngarinyman and Miriwoong people and has a population of approximately 70. The Primary school is a one teacher (the Teaching Principal) school with approximately 15 students who have English as an additional language or dialect.
