This business has been providing cutting edge engineering solutions to its clients with in the building, mining and construction industry. Established in Australia, they have experienced vast growth and operations have expanded on to the global scene.

Due to this growth, they are looking for someone to stand out from the crowd, a confident, highly organised professional to take on the newly created role of a Financial Controller.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your main duties will include sole responsibility for the accurate reporting of the company's financial performance as well as leading a small team and give detailed insights with all financial aspects of planning and decision making within the business. You will also act as a bridge between finance and operations department. This will include:

Budgeting and forecasting revenues and expenses analysing variances of Actual vs Budget
Providing in-depth cost analysis on projects in liaison with Project Managers
Cash flow management
Foreign exchange management in conjunction with the overseas team
Maintenance of the fixed asset register
Management of month end close off and reporting
Assessment of trends in performance and identifying areas of risk
End of financial year reporting and procedures including liaison with auditors, tax consultants and statutory accounts
Maintain and monitoring the company’s system of internal controls
Systems and process improvement with in the finance team providing viable solutions to help streamline work flow and systems operations.
Take control of all financial aspects and providing in-depth analysis to the Managing Director and other major stake holders of the business

This position would suit someone who has vast experience in a similar role. As the right person you;

Have relevant Accounting Qualifications (preferably CPA or CA) with advanced Excel skills
Have impeccable communication and interpersonal skills
