The Position

Skilled Medical are seeking applications from Anaesthetic (ICU) Registrars to commence a 12 month fixed-term position (accredited through College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM)) February 2022 in a regional Victorian city.

The successful candidate will also have potential opportunity for a further 12-24 months of follow-on employment through competitive interview for training in a CICM-accredited rural/regional setting. Further training opportunities include 6-month rotations through General Medicine, or Palliative Care and a 12-month anaesthesia post, all of which can be considered rural rotations by CICM.

This large health district provides multidisciplinary services to a catchment area of approximately 305,000 people.

The Intensive Care Unit receives approximately 800 admitted patients annually making it the 4th busiest regional unit in Australia and New Zealand.

A relatively short driving distance to Melbourne this location is ideal for doctors seeking a relaxed country lifestyle.

Essential Criteria

Doctors must hold general registration with AHPRA.

Doctors must have 4 years post-graduate medical experience and current membership of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) training program (at time of role commencement).
