This business has been at the forefront of the supply of high quality exterior and interior timber products for many decades. From humble beginnings as a family business, they have now grown to be a national industry leader, supplying quality timber products to major retailers like Bunnings, Mitre10, Home Timber and hardware, as well as hundreds of independent timber retailers and construction companies.

Position

The newly created position of National Trade Account Manager has now become available. This role is solely focussed on taking over the complete management of the end user market of trade and commercial builders. You will develop and maintain great relationships with commercial and residential builders, from tier 1, through to small trade contractors with the objective being that you will be the product representative/expert for these customers, whilst filtering business back through the retail customers from your trade/commercial construction relationships.

Ultimately the position is multifaceted where you will deploy your expertise to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability of the relationships and this means consulting around product selection, to lead to more retail sales.

On offer is a generous salary package ranging from $100k - $120k salary + car + bonuses.

Candidate

To be considered for the position it is essential for all candidates to have experience managing and selling to the residential, or commercial builders' markets. You must have a proven track record of developing and fostering long term relationships with these markets as a subject matter expert, but with the end result of increasing trade.

Prior experience within the timber industry would also be an advantage, however not essential.

Most importantly you will need to be able to demonstrate a range of skills that all encompass someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and real business nous across sales, relationship management, stakeholder management and trends within the building industry.
