Business Development Manager - Energy Markets

About the Company
This company is a dynamic and agile developer and EPC contractor within wind and solar farm assets. They have successfully developed, built and operate over 4GW of wind farm and solar assets in Europe, Australia, South Africa, South East Asia and the USA. They are ready to build on their strong foundations in the Australian market and have ambitious growth plans for the Australian business.

The role
This is a hands-on role and at its core is the ability to develop creative business ideas and unique PPA structures. The role is responsible for leading and managing the commercial business development aspects of renewable energy projects including developing, marketing and selling new strategies and electricity products to large electricity consumers and buyer channels.

About you
This role requires a commercially astute individual who is contracts savvy and understands different contractual mechanisms. Ideally, you will have led PPA negotiations or have experience with project finance where you have managed tender responses and commercial proposals. The position holder must have the capacity to develop and maintain a community network and build meaningful business relationships.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

* Degree in business or engineering, with experience in the electricity wholesale markets.
* Ability to autonomously deliver tender responses and commercial proposals.
* Ability to find and develop opportunities for sale of long-term bankable electricity contracts.
* Ability to negotiate commercial and legal terms of Power Purchase Agreements (supported by the legal team).
