About the role

Join a large team of Reinforcing Steel Schedulers, supporting our supply of reinforcing steel to varied projects across multiple segments of the construction industry. You interact directly with customers and internal departments, to determine customer needs and ensure accurate supply of steel to each project.

Co-ordinate customer requirements in conjunction with Sales, Planning, Production and Operations to accurately forecast customer construction projects
Generate bar lists from reading structural and architectural drawings
Work with customers to ensure drawings and production schedule meet customer needs
Identify potential production or product solutions, and negotiate changes with customers to reduce scheduling and production costs
Manage enquiries from customers regarding their product status and delivery

About your experience

It’s important that you are customer focused and thrive in a busy environment. You are a goal oriented and engaging team player, with a customer centric focus who enjoys interaction with clients and stakeholders. You will be an enthusiastic and tenacious individual with a can-do attitude.

Proven track record building positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
Experience within building materials, steel or construction industry and strong interest in reinforcing steel scheduling
Experience using reinforcing scheduling programs or systems such as ARMA or CAD
Qualifications as a Structural/Civil Engineer or Drafter is advantageous but not essential
Ability to understand your customer’s needs and offer technical value-based solutions that benefit the customer

Microsoft Office Suite & CRM system experience ideal.
