As a radiographer at Narrabri Hospital, you will be working with a great team of radiographers and support staff. We have digital radiography, OPG and CT in our new hospital built in 2011. As a rural radiographer you will be rewarded by working as part of the multidisciplinary team. This includes liaising with the local referring practitioners as well as tertiary referral centres.
No two days are the same for a country radiographer with a wide range of trauma, outpatient and emergency patients coming through our doors. Clear communication with all members of staff, patients and their families is vital. Being part of a small team means you will be required to work alone at times, especially when providing an on call service, however support is available via telephone 24 hours a day. On-call is shared amongst the radiographer’s making sure that the successful candidate can enjoy the all-important work/life balance, which is valued highly by Hunter New England Health.
This position is a fantastic opportunity for a radiographer who has a few years’ experience and is wanting to take their skills to the next level by working independently and gaining confidence in the hospital setting. We offer a supportive learning environment to further your career. Proficiency in Toshiba CT will be an advantageous.
