This is a straight-forward sales position selling a necessary solution that reduces time; frustration and expense to the hospitality & FMCG industries.

Industry experience is not essential, however if you have an interest in technology that would be a benefit.
Solution sales experience business to business is a requirement.
Telephone sales experience is handy.

All your business leads are generated by a marketing team; The marketing team extract business opportunities for you via online marketing campaigns that generate interest.

Many of those businesses are companies that indirectly represent 80 other businesses that rely on them.
Let’s refer to the first company as - Company “A”
& let’s refer to the 80 as - Companies B-1 to B-80

Position Description - This is how it works -
Step 1 - The marketing guys generate interest on your behalf to all the Company A’s.
Once they have qualified a “Company A”, they then hand that opportunity over to you.
Once you have won over a “Company A”
“Company A” provides you a contact list of their B1 to B-80.

Level of Difficulty of your phone call - Easy to Moderate.
Your calls to B1 to B-80 goes something like this:
Hello Cornelius!
The decision maker (CEO/ GM/ Procurement officer/ Bob) at company A suggested that I contact you, are you available to meet with myself and my technical guy/gal on either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week for a coffee and a bran muffin? AS you can imagine, due to the balance of power, it's easy to get a YES!

You set the meeting then delve into the discovery so the technical guy/gal can prepare for your presentation and demonstration.

During the meeting the Technical person performs a demonstration and talks Techy, whilst you talk benefits and you both combine to close during that first meeting. Remember this is a solution they badly require.

The current ratio of closing on the day stands at 4 from 10 – Job done
The remaining 6 are yours to follow-up over the phone until you receive the order or you receive a flat out NO – Job done.
