INCH Housing Inc. is seeking a Property Manager, part time position for 25 hours per week. The Property Manager will be required to complete these hours over 4 days per week.

The Property Manager part time position is 25 hours per week. One position is for 12 months.

The Property Managers will be required to complete these hours over 4 days per week.

An overview of the Property Manager’s role

The Property Manager’s Role

The role of the Property Manager is to assist the organisation achieve its goals by carrying out the following duties in the areas of:-

1. Property Management in the day to day management of all Housing Program Streams and to operate in accordance within legislative and funding contracts requirements,

2. Working co-operatively with other staff members in the day to day running INCH’s Office and delivery of services.

3. Work in accordance with INCH’s Policies and Procedures and

4. INCH’s Business and Strategic Plans

Some responsibilities and duties can include:

Implement Property Management within regulatory frameworks - RTARA – 2008, Housing Act - 2003, National Law for Community Housing - 2014 and INCH’s policies and procedures

Acquisitions of new properties

Preparing leases for renewals

Complete tenant and owner/agent inspections and keep inspections records in accordance with lease agreements

Work with owners/agents for property repairs, maintenance and upgrades

Liaise with Body Corps for complexes

Arranging Tenant repairs and maintenance with contractors requirements

Assisting with tenant damage to policies, providing information and assistance to

tenants in line with policy procedures

Engage with INCH’s and local community contractors

Maintain the Key security system

Update and/or maintain our Rent Management System, and our hard and softcopy

Files

Work closely with Tenancy Managers and Sustaining Tenancy Program.

Assist with Office duties as required

Engage in the Community Housing sector, attend relevant networks, professional development and training

Supervise and assist Property volunteers and students as required

Hold a current Queensland Driver’s License

Hold a current Blue card or obtain prior to commencement of the job.
