Senior level Ecologist / Botanist to join this global firm as Technical Director for the NSW Ecology branch across major and minor projects.

The NSW Manager is looking for a steady set of hands that can provide technical guidance and direction for the more junior staff without the pressure of having to completely manage them.

The Role:

As Lead Author, sign off on reports and projects.
Project Manage juniors and field staff – the Newcastle team is a well-rounded / resourced team of 15.
2IC to the Manager without the responsibility and pressures that come with being a full manager.
Work is diverse and interesting across Biodiversity Assessments (BDAR), Threatened Environmental Communities (TEC), Rehabilitation, Offsets and weed identification and management and Ecological Impact Assessments for major projects and smaller DA’s, Advice to local and federal government for policy and strategic purposes.
Projects cover Land Management, Stewardship Sites, Rehabilitation, Developments, Resources and Impact Assessments for major projects and smaller DA’s

Who will suit this role.

8-12 years’ experience is the sweet spot, but we’re open to anyone with the above skills set. With a predominantly Terrestrial Botany / Flora workload, BAM accreditation would be ideal. However if you’re willing to be company supported to achieve this accreditation, then that is fine.

In this 2020 covid climate, joining a company confident on their workloads is a very safe prospect, possibly more so than sitting ‘safe’ in your current team who may be quiet on work.
