The Role

To be successful for this role you will need to have previous experience in scheduling/estimating of structural steel for commercial and residential construction projects.
Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Responsible for scheduling and estimating structural steel in the commercial and residential markets
Preparation and analysis of lump sum structural steel tenders.
Communicate successfully with architects, engineers, builders, and site personnel within the construction and associated industries

Skills, Experience and Personal Characteristics

Experience working specifically for a Structural Steel Company in Australia is essential
Must be able to extract information from structural and architectural drawings and raise quantity schedules
A high degree of accuracy
Excellent technical aptitude
Proven history in major project work and completion deadlines
Knowledge of structural steel products and experience liaising with customers
Demonstrated experience with prioritising and organisation of workload in a manufacturing environment
Excellent time management skills
Well-developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills
