Casual Registered Nurse - Outpatient Services

About the role:
John Hunter Hospital Outpatient Service is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to work within our outpatient clinics on a casual basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for the provision of safe person centred care within the unit, ensuring compassionate care in delivered in collaboration with patients, families, carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

The successful applicants will be supported throughout this role, with a JHH orientation program, an Outpatient Service orientation and a “buddy” system. Service-specific education and training is also provided for clinical procedures and processes etc.

Where you'll be working:
The JHH Outpatient Service located in the Royal Newcastle Centre JHH Campus is the largest Outpatient Specialist Facility in the Local Health District. The service provides outpatient consultant and procedural clinics for a wide range of Medical and Surgical specialities. The environment is fast paced with the service providing appointments for up to 750 patients per day. This is a great opportunity to develop skills across a variety of specialities and work within a supportive team of professionals whilst delivering excellent care to the large outpatient community.

Someone with fantastic organisational skills who is reliable and effective at task prioritisation
Looking for an opportunity for flexibility and like the idea of working day shifts between Monday - Friday
A great communicator and people-person
Adaptable and flexible to work across a variety of clinical areas
Proficient with keyboard and computer skills
Experienced in complex wound care and surgical procedures (highly desirable)
