Position Summary

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced IBD Service Lead to join our IBD Service, a sub-specialty of the Department of Gastroenterology.

Details of position/position requirements:

The IBD Service Nursing Lead is a senior nursing role. The role is responsible for coordinating service provision, staffing and resources to efficiently manage the IBD service.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Strategic planning and business development
* Finance and budget management
* Human resource management at the unit level
* Implement quality and safety initiatives
* Patient care as required in both a clinical and research capacity
* Development of strong partnerships internal and external to the organization
* Meeting KPIs as set in collaboration with Director of IBD and Divisional Manager
* Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and assessment skills to provide optimal patient care for the IBD patient cohort to manage patients through their end to end journey in the IBD service
* In a consulting capacity, provides clinical nursing expertise and direction in line with clinical standards policies and procedures to both internal and external customers, including providing high level nursing assessment, care planning advice and interventions/procedures as required.
