Re.Group is an Australian owned company focusing on providing high quality solutions for recycling and recovering resources from Waste.

We have a vision for a wasteless society, where all resources that become waste are reused and are not disposed.
We are currently seeking a Supervisor to join our team in Shellharbour, NSW. Our FOGO Compost Facility (Food Organics and Garden Organics) services approximately 70,000 residents and produces high quality compost products. These products are suitable for general retail markets, agricultural and horticultural markets. This is a purpose-built facility, utilising state-of-the-art computer-controlled processes to transform the organics into high quality compost.

The Role:
The Supervisors main objective is to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and that the facility is run in a cost-effective manner. The facility is run by a small team and as such all team members must be prepared to multi-skill in all facets of the process. The facility supervisor must also foster and maintain appropriate working relationships with key Shellharbour City Council representatives.

Duties:

Safety:

Lead and supervise your team in a safety-first culture.
Perform duties in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
Ensure proper PPE is utilized and worn, as well as compliance with Lock Out Tag Out and all safety procedures are adhered to at all times
Report system problems immediately to management so they can be resolved in a timely manor

Material Control:

Monitor the quality of the incoming organic material and the final product.
Ensure the FOGO process control equipment is monitored and the necessary quality control/testing is completed as required.

Maintenance:

Ensure all equipment is serviced and maintained in accordance with company requirements.
Ensure all breakdown of equipment is resolved with a sense of urgency.

The Ideal Candidate

Ability to perform physical requirements such as, prolonged physical exertions including standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying.
Have a current driver’s license and any other licenses or relevant competencies to operate site equipment (Loader, Skidder).
Self-starter, persevering work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a prior Supervisor role
Competency in front end loader operation including loading screens and trucks. Minimum 3 years’ experience. (The facility Supervisor will be expected to operate front end loaders on a daily basis, covering operator breaks and when team members are away on leave.)
Experience in a recycling/waste industry environment will be highly regarded
