In response to continued growth and exciting project wins, we are now looking for a Senior Dams Engineer (Hydraulics) to join the Dams team. Located in Brisbane, you will work alongside nationally and internationally recognised dam specialists across our interstate and global operations.

This position offers a good variety of work and will see you involved in:

Providing specialised technical services to clients on a diverse range of dam-related projects including feasibility studies, design and construction support for new build and improvement projects
Hydraulic design of hydraulic structures associated with dams including spillways, energy dissipation, outlet works and hydropower installations
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling of spillways and other free surface hydraulic structures, specifically in the analysis of existing structures and the design of new structures
Applying the results of CFD to develop engineering solutions
Providing mentoring and review related to CFD modelling activities
Design and analysis of fish passage structures

What you will bring to the team:

Minimum Bachelor degree qualifications in civil engineering or related discipline as appropriate
Chartered status, eg CPEng, RPEQ, RPGeo or equivalent, highly desirable and if not, conscientiously working towards achieving it
Proven experience in management of dams engineering
Typically, at least 5 years post-graduate experience
Experience in dams engineering is essential
Proven experience in the dams engineering and a proven track record in project and technical delivery
An ability to create strong relationships with clients and team members, working collaboratively to delivery for our clients.
