Hays IT in Geelong are currently partnered with a leading global manufacturing company located in South Geelong, Victoria.
We are seeking to appoint a full-time permanent IT Infrastructure Manager working closely with Global Information Services team at an enterprise level. You will be responsible of managing five direct reports located in Victoria and New Zealand.

Your new role
Reporting to the Australia and New Zealand Information Services Operations Director, the role will require strong technical, people management and organizational skills as well as a considerable contribution to daily operational activities.
You will be responsible for managing, directing and coaching technically strong team that support all enterprise and distributed infrastructure. You will be involved in implementing and maintaining IT Software, Cloud, Server and Network Infrastructure environment. You will be having direct reports as Infrastructure Architect, Support Team Leader, Infrastructure Team Leader NZ and Infrastructure Consultants.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:

Demonstrated experience in facilitating and managing technically strong IT enterprise and distributed Infrastructure team.
Excellent experience of the installation, operations and support of:
- Server infrastructure and related software components
- Storage and backup solutions
- A centralised datacenter and de-central server rooms
- LAN, WLAN, WAN
- Cloud infrastructure
- Network security (Firewalls, IPS etc.)
- Networking - Switches and routers
- Software distribution tools
- End-point security (anti-virus, security patching, encryption etc.)
- OS and Software patching
- Collaboration environments (mail, video conferencing etc.)
- Server Virtualization
- Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Office 365
- Current protocols and standards
- Disaster recovery and testing
Proven experience in leadership, coaching and supporting team members and stakeholders related to IT infrastructure standards.
Demonstrated experience in driving and delivering continuous improvement in a significant organisation as well as a thorough understanding of the interdependencies between infrastructure, security and applications and services.
Strong technical, interpersonal and management skills.
Strong computing server and storage administrator skills.
Working knowledge of and experience in Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) regulatory requirements or other policy and standards e.g. COBIT, ISO 27000 etc., knowledge of IT service management methodologies (e.g. ITIL) will be highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience of Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture best practices and principles.
