The Governance, Audit and Risk Division provides strategic advice, oversight of the governance framework and parliamentary support to the Minister, the CEO, the Executive and key stakeholders.

The Executive and Committee Secretariat Section sits within the Agency Strategy and Secretariat Branch. Under the broad direction of senior staff, and with a significant degree of independence, with decision making highly dependent on their own professional judgement and consideration of wider agency implications, the Director leads the work of the Executive and Committee Secretariat teams. In performing a leadership role, the Director identifies and drives innovation, manages and leads change and has an active role in contributing to and implementing the agency's strategic direction.

The Director is responsible for optimising the effectiveness of their team to provide high quality coordination functions across the agency, including effective organisational and administrative skills to support the governance processes of the agency's senior Committees and high-level advice on policy and procedure for committee management in the agency.

The key duties of the position include

Oversee and provide secretariat services to a number of high profile Senior Committees including the Executive and Audit Committee and key CEO meetings, as well as regular meetings for other Senior Executives and the Minister.
Undertake coordination tasks and project work related to governance matters for the Group and agency as required.
Oversee the organisation and logistics of meetings, and attend as required.
Oversee the delivery of support services including developing procedures and policies relating to an effective Secretariat function.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and provide supervision and leadership to a team.
Lead, manage staff and oversee performance, attendance, health and wellbeing and influence the allocation of workloads and work plans.
Provide high level strategic advice and feedback to stakeholders and the agency's executive.
Oversee and ensure compliance in work areas with established agency procedures and relevant frameworks.
