Our client is a not-for-profit organisation whose key focus is to provide the community with support and education in relation to serious illnesses, chronic disease, mental health and to identify and create solutions for gaps within the health system.

The role:

They are currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Team Leader to mentor and lead seven dedicated Mental Health Services Officers. You will be an outstanding customer service professional with a passion for mental health services. The position will require you to use your attention to detail and professionalism to make informed decisions regarding referrals for services.

What you’ll be doing:

Supervise and support the process of timely referrals
Daily preparation of referrals for the Triage Psychologist
Hands on assistance to the team when there is an abundance of referrals to be processed
Escalating referrals for high-risk patients to ensure they are processed urgently
Track and monitor feedback for incorrect referrals
Establish and maintain effective key stakeholder relationships
General administration and reporting on performance
Lead and train the team, reviewing performance and KPI’s
Identifying opportunities for improvement within the team
Keep up to date with legislation and best practice, ensuring compliance
Processing purchase orders, invoices and payments all relating to primary mental health services
Records and database management, ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality

The successful applicant:

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in leading a high performing team
Tertiary Qualification in Health, Business or relevant discipline
Demonstrated experience working within the Health sector or complex environment
Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
Professional and Empathetic nature
Superior organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
Solid analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite and CRM
Valid Working with Children’s Check and willingness to undergo a National Police Check
Flexibility to complete ad-hoc travel / attend out of office hours community forums or meetings
Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
