Senior Accountant/Finance Manager. Part time WFH position to oversee finances of a large residential property development and investment portfolio

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/FINANCE MANAGER
Salary: Negotiable commensurate with experience
Classification: Part-time (2-3 days per week)
Work environment: Flexible hours work from home

Supported by a reliable and experienced bookkeeper, this hands-on finance role will report to and support the main parent company owner of a locally-owned residential property investment portfolio.

The ability to work unsupervised with diligence and competence is expected, and the role will offer the right candidate a long term stable opportunity to provide value to a very dynamic and diverse property and business ownership group.

With a property investment or related real estate background, you will have a consistently high level of detail expected at this level. The role requires an agile, financially prudent mindset and the ability to work with a busy entrepreneur without fuss or micro-management.

With a focus on strong and competent reporting across Melbourne assets, the position requires substantial real estate accounting experience to meet the requirements of all relevant stakeholder pathways.

CA/CPA qualified
Min 5+yrs senior financial accounting experience plus solid expertise across trust accounting, audit and taxation
Prior experience within property or estate sectors essential
Highly competent analysis, financial modelling and reporting skills
Adept at working with nimble, successful, no BS business owners and entrepreneurs
Strong problem-solving skills combined with self-directed learning and motivation to pick up market knowledge quickly
Strong stakeholder liaison and relationship management
Hands-on and willing to work across all finance functions when required
Reliable, patient problem-solving skills
