Duration: 20-week program, run over 5 days a week

These introductory level courses are designed as a pathway to prepare students with the basic essential knowledge and hands-on experience to take the next step into employment within the hospitality sector. Students will learn under the guidance of the very best qualified trainers and professional chefs.

Training is funded for eligible students under the Community Work Skills program as part of the Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to enrol, prospective students must:

Be aged 15 years or older.
Be no longer at school (6+ Months out of school)
Permanently reside in Queensland.
Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen.
Currently unemployed or underemployed.
