ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be accountable for the provision of professional teaching and vocational expertise, across all aspects of delivery, planning and performance to ensure excellent outcomes for learners.

Your key accountabilities will be to:

* Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners
* Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle
* Improve the quality of teaching and learning through a student based approach and adaptive curriculum
* Ensure high quality and current resources, teaching materials and assessments are used
* Enhance the student experience to improve engagement early on and assist learners to interact with their academic and social environment
* Engage with employers and industry representatives ensuring teaching materials and content meet industry and employer needs and are current

ABOUT YOU

You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in:

* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or qualifications that meet RTO Standards
* Vocational qualifications at AQF level 3,4 or 5 in Plumbing
* Vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience
* Registration with the Victorian Building Authority Plumbing Licence
* A record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver
* A record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge
A Diploma in VET Practice would be highly desirable.

Crucial to your success will be your proven track record in the delivery of up-to-date and engaging programs, learning materials and teaching delivery plans in a learning environment, that motivates and guides students to optimise their learning outcomes.

You are highly motivated, with exceptional communication skills, your personal style is flexible and collaborative and are a highly motivated individual with the ability to contribute to team capability and operate as part of a high performing team.

To be successful, you will have the ability to identify potential challenges in a classroom environment and effectively resolve these. You will be proficient in using learning management systems, such as Moodle, to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for learners.
