This role is part of the Cyber Risk and Control Assurance, Governance and Compliance (Including Bankwest) team. This team is responsible for building and maintaining an effective risk management framework across Cyber Security business, Performing and managing cyber security compliance reviews of our environment/business against security policies, Robust and proactive management of processing of deviations from the Information Security Policy and Standards, including escalations and reporting, Overall User Access Reviews (UAR) and Monthly Terminations (MT) Services. As a Cyber Security Governance and Compliance (CSGC) Specialist, you will be part of a specialist team, providing guidance in the interpretation of Group IT Policy intent, application and exemptions. This role is a great opportunity to be a pioneer in implementing and adapting a fresh approach to Cyber compliance at a time of significant digital transformation and growth, with a team of like-minded and highly skilled professionals.

A day in the Life:

Identify, scope and perform Cyber compliance assessments.
Review the compliance of key Cyber Security controls established to protect the organisation's digital assets, not limited to but including controls relevant to third party and outsourced services, and cloud-based technologies.
Provide specialist advice in the definition, application and communication of Cyber Security standards and guidance.
Maintain strong working relationships with individuals and groups involved in managing Cyber Security for the organisation, as well as technology representatives, key business stakeholders, service partners and vendors, and assurance providers.
Utilise knowledge and understanding of risk management methodologies, enabling stakeholders to operate within the Bank’s Risk Appetite.
Provide leadership and insights to the future development of the Governance and Compliance function along with the other core functions of Cyber team based in Perth.

The successful candidate will have the following:

Practical experience in managing stakeholders to effect change, including strong influencing skills.
Experience in a Security Governance or Compliance function.
Knowledge of Information Security governance frameworks, policy creation, process development, risk and controls assessments and reporting.
Strong communication skills.
Proven ability to manage heavy workloads to required service levels.
Strong knowledge of data governance principles.
Strong understanding of change management principles.
