Position Details

Sustainability Victoria (SV) has a legislative responsibility to plan for waste and recycling infrastructure across the State, including the preparation and implementation of the State-wide Waste and Resource Recovery Infrastructure Plan (SWRRIP) to be called the Victorian Recycling Infrastructure Plan (VRIP).

The Planning Lead - Waste and Recycling Infrastructure will be responsible for the successful implementation of SV's legislative requirements in waste and recycling infrastructure planning. Recycling Victoria sets out a bold policy agenda and targets and requires the development of the new Victorian Recycling Infrastructure Plan (VRIP) to commence in 2020.

The new VRIP will include hazardous waste and set out and plan for infrastructure to meet the needs of Victoria, both state-wide and regionally, and achieve Recycling Victoria objectives. You will oversee its monitoring and evaluation framework and implementation plan and update the VRIP as required. You will communicate the Plan and strategically engage with stakeholders across state and local government and industry.

Key requirements of the role include strategic planning, systems thinking, program management and stakeholder engagement.

A demonstrated ability to multi-task while being resilient and adaptable to the demands of a fast-paced agile work environment is essential.
