We currently have a great opportunity for an After Hours Nurse Manager to join the Broken Hill Health Service Management team. In the role you will be managing a vibrant, skilled, team of nurses and midwives to achieve exceptional health outcomes for some of the most vulnerable communities in NSW. You will be responsible for effective service delivery, culture and service improvements, sustainable access and collaboration in health care.

Selection Criteria

Registered Nurse with current registration to practice from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in acute nursing with evidence of advanced clinical nursing skills and knowledge.
Relevant tertiary leadership and management qualifications or working towards same.
Demonstrated leadership skills including conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation, and the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff to achieve service and professional goals through recognised change management processes.
Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, including conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation.
Highly developed problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively.
Demonstrated understanding of the role, function & funding of public hospital within the Australian and NSW Health Systems.
