The Opportunity

Maxima in conjunction with our client, are seeking a proactive and motivated Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to join a rapidly growing service centre team as a Trainee Digital Service Representative. We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering positive customer service through the use of online technology. You will be assisting and educating customers with online transactions as well as promoting the adoption of digital services.

This is an exciting opportunity to undertake paid practical experience whilst completing a (fully paid) nationally recognised Certificate III in Customer Engagement over a 12 month period. During this time, you will be working full-time, Monday to Friday with a minimum of 38 hours per week.

Day-to-day duties will include, but not be limited to:

Create a positive relationship in all interactions maintaining a professional and friendly manner and ensuring client satisfaction as a priority
Promote the adoption of digital services and educate users
Identify the purpose of the customer visit and assist with digital queries appropriately
Refer customers to appropriate channel for out of scope transactions and action complaints using appropriate channels of support
Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of information resources particularly in the digital space
Contribute to improve the efficiency of work processes and the implementation of changes in the workplace

Skills and Knowledge

Ability to provide high quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confidence to handle challenging situations and resolve enquires in a calm and focused manner
Flexible and adaptable during times of change to contribute to the team's strategic goals
Display resilience and courage to manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
Intermediate experience using technology (computers/telephones/software packages)
