On behalf of our client we are looking for the services of an experienced logistics and operations manager to help improve efficiencies within operations whilst leading a high performing team.

* Oversee the effective management and future direction of the field operations and warehousing for the company
* Manage a team of supervisors who run remote service technician teams (130) across the country.
* Responsible for the training and monitoring of smoke alarm legislation in all states to ensure we remain the market leader
* Continually review and update procedures and training to meet changes in legislation and WH&S requirements.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders and proposals
* Ensure execution of logistics activities to comply with the companies specific requirements for cost, time, quality and risk minimisation
* Engage with management on strategic as well as tactical logistics related matters, to ensure right and timely involvement
* Drive efficiency through resource optimisation, offshoring & implementation of best practice within logistics across the business nationally.
* Communicate effectively with all levels of the business by attending operations and management meetings and providing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
* Prepare executive reports and participate in strategic decision making, in order to achieve company objectives.

About you:
* a natural leader with the ability to strategically manage and implement multiple and often conflicting priorities effectively
* a self-starter ready to take ownership of a vital area of the business during a time of significant growth
* a strong communicator who is comfortable preparing and presenting at a senior management level
* exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively and positively manage staff and customer expectations
* demonstrated experience and proven track record as a Logistics or operations manager with a stable employment history (minimum 5 years)
* experience within the smoke alarm industry is not necessary but highly regarded
