Salary $191,906 - $220,690 per annum + superannuation

An exciting opportunity now exists for a dynamic and experienced Chief People Officer to join our recently re-shaped HR Team. We are seeking an exceptional leader with the vision necessary to successfully lead the delivery of contemporary, client focussed HR services across the department through best practice people management within a large and diverse workforce.

The Chief People Officer will:

Provide high level strategic oversight and management of people related reform initiatives across the entire health system, in both health service delivery and corporate areas.
Provide strategic leadership in all aspects of workforce planning and people management and ensure that there are systems and structures in place to attract, develop and manage employees across the health system, with a focus on continual improvement.
As project sponsor, lead the implementation of a new $21m department-wide Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
Lead the establishment and maintenance of an effective framework for the negotiation, arbitration and regulation of remuneration, other employment conditions and industrial relations matters generally, including recruitment and public sector employment policy for the Department.
Lead the Department’s Workplace Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategies and diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure our people, clients and suppliers remain safe, respected, and included in our workplaces.
Lead the development and implementation of organisational cultural change programs to improve collaboration, break down silos, optimise patient outcomes and flow, and improve safety, professional accountability, and respect.
Provide strategic advice to the Secretary and the Minister on the effective use of human resources and service delivery in the health system in Tasmania, now and in the future.
