Salary between $57 649 - $63 120 p.a. (F/T) or $29.07 - $31.83 p.h. (P/T), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (up to 17.5%) (Nurse Grade 1) (Applications will remain current for 12 months). Job Ad Reference: CAH361233

Purpose of the Role

Being accountable for your own healthcare practice, the Assistant in Nursing assists the healthcare team in the provision of perioperative care under the direction of the Registered Nurse whilst assisting in the achievement of service goals. The Assistant in Nursing will be required to communicate with clinical and non-clinical personnel in the provision of this service. To assist the health care team and the Nurse Unit Manager in ensuring that clinical equipment and supplies are maintained in supporting the clinical team in providing care and practice. At times, there will be opportunity to assist a Registered Nurse with clinical care.

* A Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing, Certificate III in Sterilisation or equivalent is a requirement for this position.
* It is a condition of employment for the employee in this role to be, and remain, vaccinated against or non-susceptible to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs): Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough) and Hepatitis B.
