About the roles

Project Delivery Commercial Advisor

About the role: You will provide expert advice to deliver the best commercial and contractual outcomes for Powerlink. You will achieve this by minimising risk by the provision of timely commercial support and advice to the project team, allowing them to maximise financial and operational performance.

About you: Ideally you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, contract management or law. You will have experience in or knowledge of: providing commercial and contractual administration and advice on construction projects; electricity transmission infrastructure projects and the components of a high voltage substation and telecommunications systems ; contract and/or commercial experience on construction projects; high level commercial management, expertise for delivering quality commercial outcomes.

Project Commissioning Manager

About the role: You will provide commissioning expertise for Powerlink projects, planning and managing all testing and commissioning activities across the wider project lifecycle in order to deliver Powerlink’s infrastructure works program.

About you: You will have Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent supported by experience in or knowledge of: a high voltage environment, particularly substations, secondary systems (control, metering and protection), telecommunications, and transmission lines performing commissioning, project management, or construction related tasks in order to effectively undertake commissioning activities on these kinds of plant.

Project Commissioning Manager - Telecommunications

About the role: You will play a key role in the support and management of the Network by managing telecommunications commissioning on behalf of Powerlink.

About you: You will have Tertiary degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering, RPEQ status would be advantageous. You will have experience in or knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment with specialist knowledge of commissioning and testing activities in an Electricity Transmission environment.

Project Manager - Telecommunications

About the role: You will successfully plan, execute, commission, and closeout multiple Powerlink Telecommunication infrastructure projects.

About you: Ideally you will have a degree level qualifications in Engineering supported by significant project management experience in the development of Telecommunication and/or Digital Technologies. You will need experience in project management, in the electrical industry with specific regard to the telecommunications network delivering multiple projects applying project management techniques; contract management/administration; considering relevant environment, community and landholder relations obligations and ensure project commitments are met.

Telecommunications Technical Advisor

About the role: You will provide expert telecommunications technical advice to project teams to ensure the safe and effective project planning, execution and commissioning of Telecommunication assets in the Powerlink high voltage transmission network.

About you: Ideally you will need an Associate Diploma in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification supported by relevant experience in the installation, testing and commissioning of telecommunications equipment providing installation and commissioning advice. You will need knowledge of: Microwave radio; Fibre optic transmission systems; Power Line carrier equipment; SDH, PDH and DWDM multiplexing systems; Information Technology Infrastructure including LAN and WAN topologies and associated systems such as IP, VOIP, MPLS; SCADA systems; UPS and DC Systems.
