Multiple min 6 month temp roles available for experienced Building Program Managers working for public sector

Your new company
Due to the creation of a new business unit which will be responsible for delivering a significant program of works,, my client, a large government department focused on delivering a range of building and maintenance projects across Melbourne are urgently seeking experienced Program Managers with solid industry experience to commence work asap on an initial 6 month contract with a likelihood for extension.

Your new role
Reporting to the Director, this role will see you working directly with external consultants/contractors including architects and builders to oversee a range of building and maintenance projects including but not limited to;

Roof installation and repairs,
small scale civil and drainage works
Structural and internal building repairs and ramp installations

You will also manage the front-end programs including the preparation and review of project scopes, briefs, recommendations and reports and overseeing the procurement of these programs which will vary between approximately 10-20 concurrently ranging between $50k-$500k, with some programs up to $3M. You will also oversee client and internal stakeholder liaison

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this role, you will have;

solid Victorian construction and building maintenance program management knowledge and experience ideally within the public sector
formal qualifications in architecture, construction or an engineering related disciple with strong experience managing similar building programs
Excellent front end program management (procurement, budgeting and reporting) with a high level of attention to detail
strong communication abilities for various external and internal stakeholders and contractors - high level of autonomy and ability to work remotely
current Victorian driver license and industry white card (preferred though not essential as minimal site visits required if any)

What you'll get in return

This is a brand new unit within the department so is an exciting opportunity.
This role will be 100% remote until at least early next year when there will likely be is a rotating roster return to the workplace based centrally in Melbourne.
A laptop will be provided but you will need to have your own home internet connection.
