Exprienced Manager, Finance and Financial Reporting required to join NSW State Government in Chatswood, commencing ASAP

$700-$900 per day + Super, depending on experience | 40hours per week

Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for the delivery of Information and Communications Technology led investments in clinical care, business services and smart infrastructure, providing a digitally enabled and integrated health system that delivers quality patient centred health experiences to the community of NSW. They are currently seeking an experienced Manager, Finance and Financial Reporting to join their team in Chatswood. This is an estimated 6month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.

Working within the Program and Change Management Business Unit of the Infrastructure Office Portfolio, you will be required to manage financial assurance for the portfolio, budgeting and budget reconciliation and the provisional of financial support to the Infrastructure Director and Program Managers across the Infrastructure Portfolio.

In this rewarding role, you will undertake the following duties:

Deliver accurate and timely financial reports
Develop and monitor budget cashflows through the management of dashboards, expenditure and budget performance and agreed key performance indicators
Prepare monthly and annual reports on program expenditures ensuring compliance with guidelines
Prepare a wide variety of estimate reporting including current financial year and program scope across financial years
Work collaboratively with programs to provide financial reporting to the portfolio
Provide high level support to the Director Infrastructure ensuring key deliverables are achieved
Develop and maintain financial management tools and processes
Engage with Program managers to complete detailed financial variance analysis and reporting, providing insights and challenge to program variances
Provide expertise advise and mentoring to Project Managers regarding financial reporting and project analytics
Make recommendations off evidence-based data regarding the implementation of appropriate financial controls
Contribute to continuous improvement financial administrative processes and Business Intelligence tools
Integrate developed processes into Oracle
Develop, implement and review budget reconciliation processes across the portfolio
Oversee and manage Procurement process through iProcurement and Oracle Projects
Analyse and reconcile the resolution of Accounts Payable processes
Ensure compliance with Legislative requirements whilst reducing financial and operational risks
Contribute to the development of financial models
Provide guidance on establishing above accountabilities across the Program Delivery Directorate on behalf of the Director Programs

To be successful in this great assignment, you will have the following –

Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting, Business Commerce or a relevant discipline
Demonstrated business intelligence, financial analysis and financial reporting experience
Public Sector experience desirable
Impeccable communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Sound analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite and Oracle
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
