ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to sustained growth, our valued client is looking to add a Cartage and Customs Operator to their small Melbourne team. Working on multiple aspects of cartage including airfreight, Seafreight and domestic, the ideal candidate will come from an autonomous role with extensive all round exposure. This role is a an all-rounder role, best suited to someone who has worked in a small forwarding team

DUTIES
* Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on time, in full deliveries (Air/FCL/LCL)
* Ensure files are processed and cleared with the customs team for collection to minimise delay and penalties
* Chase missing documents, register and compile files as required
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Extensive, previous cartage experience within freight forwarding
* Operational understanding of Expedient, ICS & 1-Stop technology
* Previous experience in a high-volume environment
* Exposure to KPI's and tangible targets
