We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quality Implementation Officer to join the Victorian Government Department of Education and Training within the International Education Division. The role is a 12 month full-time Fixed Term Contract based in Melbourne CBD.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Implementation Officer to take on a full time fixed term contract in the International Student Program, based in our Melbourne CBD office.

Reporting to the Manager, School Support Unit in the International Education Division, the role is responsible for ensuring DET (Department of Education and Training) can deliver a compliant International Student Program. In particular, to set up a framework which provides assurance to DET and the VRQA (Victorian Regulations and Qualifications Authority), including appropriate governance, data and monitoring arrangements, guidance and support for schools, and coordination with DET Regional Offices. The Senior Quality Implementation Project Officer will work side-by-side with the Senior Compliance Officer to establish and implement the ISP (International Student Program) Assurance Framework. The role directly impacts DET's ability to adhere to ESOS (Education Services for Overseas Students 2000) compliance CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institution and Courses for Overseas Students) accreditation requirements.

Skills and Experience:

3 + years of experience in a leadership capacity in a similar role
Strong understanding of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act (Cth) and Education Training and Reform Act (Vic)
Proven track record of iimplementing and maintaining compliance policies and practices to ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards
Previous experience iimplementing quality assurance frameworks, systems and processes to give effect to legislative, regulatory, policy and strategic requirements
Confident in providing expert advice in relation to the regulation to inform program review and the development of model implementation
Strong experience in strategic planning and reporting in a corporate environment
Proven ability to establish and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrable background in monitoring, reporting and delivering on projects with tight deadlines and within budgets
Strong understanding of compliance and risk management strategies
Current Working with childrens' check or be willing to obtain one
Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable)
